About The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Supervise and support a team of early childhood educators, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.

  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement a creative and age-appropriate curriculum that supports children’s developmental milestones and individual needs.

  • Child Engagement: Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where each child feels valued and motivated to learn and explore.

  • Family Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and addressing any concerns or questions.

  • Health and Safety: Ensure the classroom environment meets all health and safety regulations, and promote a safe and hygienic space for children to learn and play.

  • Administrative Duties: Manage classroom records, prepare reports, and handle administrative tasks as required.

We have permanent opportunity available for a Room Leader with:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, Bachelor in Teaching Early Childhood Education or ACECQA equivalent

  • Mentoring, programming and rostering experience

  • Ability to collaborate with the team in the room to develop new experiences based on children's interests and needs

  • Good understanding of all 7 Quality Areas & EYLF principles and practices

  • Good administrative and organisational skills

Advantageous but not required:

  • Previous experience as a Room Leader

  • Experience supporting a newly established service

  • Qualification or previous experience working within a Montessori framework
