About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Supervise and support a team of early childhood educators, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
Curriculum Development: Design and implement a creative and age-appropriate curriculum that supports children’s developmental milestones and individual needs.
Child Engagement: Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where each child feels valued and motivated to learn and explore.
Family Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
Health and Safety: Ensure the classroom environment meets all health and safety regulations, and promote a safe and hygienic space for children to learn and play.
Administrative Duties: Manage classroom records, prepare reports, and handle administrative tasks as required.

We have permanent opportunity available for a Room Leader with:
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, Bachelor in Teaching Early Childhood Education or ACECQA equivalent
Mentoring, programming and rostering experience
Ability to collaborate with the team in the room to develop new experiences based on children's interests and needs
Good understanding of all 7 Quality Areas & EYLF principles and practices
Good administrative and organisational skills
Advantageous but not required:
Previous experience as a Room Leader
Experience supporting a newly established service
Qualification or previous experience working within a Montessori framework
