About the Company

Our client have been working in local communities across Australia since the early 1800s. With a safe culture which empowers children and young people, by creating safe environments and communities, whilst putting practices into place to protect children. With OSHC services open from 7am, children are looked after until the start of their day, in the afternoons and from the end of school up to 6pm. Both before and after school care is staffed by qualified and experienced professionals.

About The Role

Be empowered to run an efficient and smooth operation.
Flexible and relaxed atmosphere to help children prepare their minds for the day ahead. Homework club with staff members on standby to help facilitate.
Understand and interpret the relevant industry regulations and legislation, including the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework.
Help with the structure and planning of the educational, physical, special and emotional needs of the children.
Build and engage with the local community, creating strong ties and relationships.

Skills & Experience

  • ACECQA Approved Qualification

  • Current Working with Children Check

  • Current National Police Clearance Certificate (Desirable)

  • Current approved First Aid Certificate / Asthma and Anaphylaxis training

  • Sound understanding of the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 yrs

  • Strong Knowledge & exp of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF),

  • Strong Knowledge & exp of the National Quality Standards (NQS) Permanent Resident/Citizen

  • Effective communication skills – with families, staff and children 2 x professional references of a past employer

  • Strong knowledge of computer skills including Qikkids, CCMS, ISS.

Desirable

  • OSHC Co-Ordinator - Advertisement

  • Flu Vaccination (May-Sept)

  • Some centres require - 2 x Covid19 vaccinations

  • Any additional certificates eg CPR

  • Child Protection

  • Food Safety

As part of your role, you will be working with young children and those who are vulnerable.


It is your obligation to always ensure their safety and report any concerns that you have, in line with our duty of care obligations.


You will be required to regularly provide the necessary

● Working with Children Check

● 2 x Reference Checks from previous manager and colleague
