About The Role

We are looking for an ECT who will promote and encourage a child’s education through planning and learning opportunities. The ideal candidate will value the wonder of early childcare education and embrace the learning for children. With a love for children’s learning, we want to concentrate on developing each child’s trust and sense of security.

Skills & Experience

  • ACECQA Approved Diploma Qualification

  • Current Working with Children Check

  • Current National Police Clearance Certificate (Desirable)

  • Current approved First Aid Certificate / Asthma and Anaphylaxis training

  • Sound understanding of the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years

  • Strong Knowledge & exp of the Early Years Learning Framework(EYLF),

  • Strong Knowledge & exp of the National Quality Standards (NQS)

  • Permanent Resident/Citizen

  • Effective communication skills – with families, staff and children

  • A beautiful and warm present to allow the existing team and children to know you are there to assist

  • 2 x professional references from a past employer


Desirable

  • Flu Vaccination (May-Sept)

  • Some centres require - 2 x COVID-19 vaccinations

  • Any additional certificates eg CPR

  • Child Protection

  • Food Safety


As part of your role, you will be working with young children and those who are vulnerable.


It is your obligation to always ensure their safety and report any concerns that you have, in line with our duty of care obligations.



You will be required to regularly provide the necessary

  • Working with Children Check

  • Police Clearances

  • Reference Checks from a previous Manager.
