About the role

As an Educator, you will be responsible for ensuring all children and families attending this service feel a sense of belonging and are provided with a safe, stimulating and supportive environment that feels like an extension of their family.

You are expected to be positive role models, active contributors and engaged team members that provide high-quality inclusive early childhood education and care to children of all abilities and their families.

This includes

  • Be inspiring to children and colleagues alike;
  • Have a ‘can-do’ attitude - role modelling problem solving;
  • Implementing and always upholding the service Values, Philosophy, policies, procedures and practices.

Skills & experience

  • Cert III in Early Years Education
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current National Police Clearance Certificate
  • Current Medical Clearance
  • As per each state-specific Health Department Mandate, a COVID-19
  • A vaccination Certificate or proof of required vaccination is required.
  • Current approved First Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • Knowledge and experience of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Effective communication skills – with families, staff and children

As part of your role, you will be working with young children and those who are vulnerable.

It is your obligation to always ensure their safety and report any concerns that you have, in line with our duty of care obligations.

You will be required to regularly provide the necessary

  • Working with Children Check
  • Police Clearances
  • Reference Checks from a previous Manager.
