Murdock Education Recruitment are seeking a proactive and passionate educator for a privately owned long daycare centre located in Sydney's North Shore

The centre provides care for up to 35 children between the ages of 0 to 6 per day and is designed to provide a warm and family orientated environment promoting child development in a fun and educational manner. Helping to prepare children for their further schooling years. They are known for their high-quality education and care and have been a family-owned service for over 25 years.

Like the centre, the perfect candidate will have the intentions of introducing the children to themselves and allowing them to explore, working very much in collaboration with the families.

The Centre is multicultural and has close links within the community and are looking for someone like-minded.


The Role: 

As a Preschool Teacher you will provide leadership in delivering high quality, inclusive programs within the Centre while working closely with the Director while establishing authentic and positive relationships with children and families to ensure positive outcomes for all children

You will:

  • Assess children’s learning and development and apply pedagogical expertise to inform curriculum decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with children and families. 
  • Support a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement. 
  • Seek and share best practice examples to improve the educational program. 
  • Maintain a safe environment for children, families and team members. 
  • Contribute to professional and positive work culture.

Essential criteria:

  • Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or overseas ACECQA approved overseas equivalent
  • New graduate or experienced ECT’s welcome to apply
  • Strong understanding of the EYLF & NQS
  • First Aid, CPR & WWCC
  • Have full-time work rights in Australia
  • Can-do positive attitude and the willingness to learn
