About the role

As we are all aware, the first 5 years are the most important time in children’s development. Having educators who provide consistency within a service who shares this ethos is of the utmost importance to Murdock Education Recruitment.
In order to get a service that is convenient for you, we offer flexibility with shift hours and locations. This is to assist you as the educator to settle and provide that consistency with a centre and the children in a location near you. If you find a service that is exactly what you are looking for. Skills & experience

  • ACECQA approved Cert III or Diploma qualification in Children’s Services
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current National Police Clearance Certificate (Desirable)
  • Sound understanding of the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 yrs
  • Strong Knowledge & exp of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF),
  • Strong Knowledge & exp of the National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Effective communication skills – with families, staff and children
  • 2 x professional references within the childcare industry
  • A passion for teaching and caring for young children

Desirable

  • Some services require Flu Vaccinations (May-Sept)
  • Some may also require 2 x Covid19 Vaccinations

As part of your role, you will be working with young children and those who are vulnerable.

It is your obligation to always ensure their safety and report any concerns that you have, in line with our duty of care obligations.
You will be required to regularly provide the necessary documents;

  • Working with Children Check
  • Police Clearances
  • Reference Checks from a previous Manager.

Our client has a zero-tolerance stance when it comes to abuse of any kind and will take disciplinary action, including and up to termination of employment, should we determine that abuse has taken place or there has been a failure to report any suspected or alleged abuse.
